Holy Family has many opportunities for social ministry in our parish and community. Our direction comes from Christ himself, who has challenged us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger, and visit the sick. For information on any of the following programs or volunteer opportunities, you may call Lisa Tipton at 810-694-4891, ext. 202, or e-mail ltipton@holyfamilygrandblanc.org Funeral Luncheons Ministry to the Sick E.F.F.E.C.T. The funeral luncheon volunteers welcome families and friends of deceased parishioners to a luncheon in the parish center following the funeral or memorial service. We strive to provide a comforting atmosphere in which consolation and memories can be shared along with the meal. Stewardship opportunities range from calling to arrange food donations, salads and dessert preparation, as well as serving luncheon to the guests.
Eucharist Ministers assist by bringing the Eucharist to the ill or homebound.
(Ecumenical Fellowship For Effective Christian Togetherness) We are a group made up of members from several Grand Blanc churches. We work together to sponsor the Crop Walk and other ecumenical functions.
The Respect Life Commission is concerned with the respect of life at all ages and stages. New members and new ideas are welcome.

Holy Family joins with other churches in our community to put our time and talents together in order to build a house for those in need.
Holy Family has three teams of volunteers who work at the Soup Kitchen on the north end of Flint. Volunteers donating their time three or four times a year are asked to call the parish office for the Soup Kitchen contact.
A group of persons working to spread our Catholic Faith by supporting our missionaries and religious spiritually, financially and any other way that may arise. They have an annual calendar fundraiser and help at "Outreach" Holy Family/St. Joseph Closet.
Those persons at Holy Family, who minister to the poor and needy of our community. They provide food, clothing and household supplies on an individual needs basis. Pick up and deliver furniture and appliances as required. One major project each year is Christmas Baskets.
At Holy Family we have a very successful tradition, begun by our High School Youth Group, of “Others First” weekends. On the first weekend of each month the Youth Group asks that parishioners bring non-perishable items to church to place at the altar as we work as Christ’s hands to feed the hungry of our community. The response is always heart-warming.
