Mission Makeover 2013 Edition
July 8 - 12, 2013
A Service Week for Middle School Teens (for students finishing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade). What is Mission Makeover? A week for all those completing 6th, 7th, or 8th grade who would like to be involved in a mini-mission experience where we will provide service to those in our parish community and surrounding areas. The week will provide students with the opportunity to serve those in need, to work as a team, and to participate in prayer and liturgy. They will also have a great time with evening activities and a fun day at the end of the week. Here is what some of last year's participants had to say:

"The experience of the first two days of this program have been the two most productive, helpful things I have done this summer."

"I didn't think I would know anybody - but I did and I also made some new friends"

If you are interested in this program or would like more information, please contact the Religious Education office at 694-9072, ext.101

Gospel Reflection
Wednesdays
9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Hall
(please enter through the school lobby).
All women are welcome to attend!

The meeting format consists of reading the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel together, followed by reflection and discussion of how the Gospel applies to our daily lives. We stay “on-task” with the guidance of The Better Part: A Christ-Centered Resource for Personal Prayer, by Fr. John Bartunek. We always leave feeling renewed and ready to be better wives, mothers and children of God.

Meetings require no preparation. You are welcome to come as you are, and come when you can – and not to worry when you can’t! There is no member roster, attendance-taking, book to purchase, or cost to attend. Bibles are provided for the meetings.

For more information, contact the parish office, 810-694-4891.

Prayer for Our Country
Every Friday at 3 p.m. in Church

Help put God back in America! If you are concerned about the direction our country is taking, please join us in church every Friday at 3 p.m. We will pray for help to reverse the drift away from God and freedom, to give us the courage to reject the culture of death, and the strength to build a new culture of life and to stir the hearts of our leaders so we remain one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all. The more voices, the stronger our prayer.
